The university president explained that the project is entitled "Evaluation of brown algae as an anti-oxidant to mitigate the molecular and biochemical effects of gibrielic acid on white mice", noting that the project aims to study the positive effects of brown algaes in reducing the signs of molecular, chemical and biological toxicity of gibrielic acid in white mice, so that toxicity is assessed on liver cells, and the ability of brown algaes to reduce the oxidative stress caused by these cells.
It is worth noting that the research team works under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abbas, Head of the Toxicology and Forensic Department at the faculty, and with the membership of Dr. Fatma Ibrahim as major researcher, Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Mahmoud and Dr. Doaa Ramadan and Demonstrator/ Shaimaa Muhammad Ahmed  as researchers in the project.
