Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, commissioned, in a first precedent, Dr. Mohamed Madi, professor of sculpting, to make a design to commemorate martyrs of Corona virus martyrs from the medical crews. (Doctors - Pharmacists - Nursing - Laboratory & Radiologists - Paramedics)
Beni Suef University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour, is the first university to establish a memorial to the martyrs of medical duty in recognition of them and an appreciation for their efforts and glorification of their smart souls, as martyrs of duty and as human shields to save many patients.
The statue will be placed in the field of the martyrs of the White Army located at the intersection of the end of Abdel Salam Aref Street, the Nile Corniche next to the Health Insurance Hospital and Conference Center, approximately seven meters high. This is under the supervision of Dr. Hisham Bushra, Advisor to the President of the University for Development and former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The artist formulated the monument in an analytical manner in a blank image of Corona virus mediating a split wall in two halves, in a dark color to denote the ugliness of the virus and in the middle of the wall there are white hands supporting each other to represent the medical staff, and he sets out from them a bird ready to launch representing the martyr’s soul. On the top of the divided wall is the word "White Army" as a readable expressive element that announces its identity to crown the memorial.
God protects Egypt and its people from all evil.
