Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, reviewed the achievements of the unit of design and development of software in digital transformation in the report submitted by Dr. Mumtaz Hijab, in the framework of the university's keenness to develop electronic use of software and help raise the efficiency of internal administrative systems in accordance with the national plan in digital transformation.
The President of the University explained that the accomplishments included the registration of new students for the people and new programs by submitting applications to join programs and reviewing and approving registration applications via the Internet, in addition to establishing a program to document the achievements of sectors, departments, colleges and institutes with a database stored on the university's main server.
The “Sakin” application has also been launched to reserve the university hotel and conference hall to enable the possibility of reserving rooms with all their services, where the user can pre-book and choose all his services and pay the reservation value through the electronic collection service.
In addition to establishing the central laboratory program to automate the reservation system in all research and scientific laboratories in the university and its various colleges through an interface to the program on the Internet, so that the program can be controlled and managed through a control panel for the work team and all those in charge of the college colleges.
In addition to establishing an administrative communication program to restore the organizational structure of the university and housing all departmental employees for documents, defining each document on the system through a unique number and barcode, and recording and tracking all movements and procedures for the document between departments and colleges.
The President of the University continued that the accomplishments included archiving councils, protocols and decisions, following up and automating all university councils through the digital hobby system. And creating an alumni data portal to display alumni data. And creating a unified platform for electronic services to display all electronic services provided through the university’s website to both students and members of the Teaching, employees, public and community services, and also offering integrated learning services.
With regard to students, the President of the University pointed to the establishment of mobile applications for student services in order to provide all electronic services to students through Khalil smart phone applications, and to provide the classrooms with many interactive screens. Registration programs were also established in graduate studies at faculties of law, trade, education, and automation of the digital library To facilitate the services available to students.
