President of Beni Suef University signs cooperation protocol with the National Authority for Remote Sensing

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University and Dr. Ashraf Helmy, Vice President of the National Remote Sensing Authority, signed a cooperation protocol between the Authority and the Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology in light of the technological transformation adopted by the political leadership to achieve sustainable development.
For his part, the President of the University explained that the protocol aims at joining efforts and scientific cooperation and the exchange of expertise and information in the field of space technology, and to achieve the optimal exploitation of the scientific and material potential available to both parties including laboratories and workshops and qualified scientific cadres, In addition to participation in research and scientific projects and achieve coordination and cooperation in all stages of research, which includes creating the idea, preparing the design until the stage of implementation and practical application, in addition to the establishment of conferences, workshops, seminars and joint training programs to spread knowledge of remote sensing science.
Dr. Osama Shalabia added that the cooperation mechanisms include full participation, which includes the technical and economic feasibility study of the project and the preparation of the time plan, planning, financing, implementation and following-up according to the nature of each project.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology, Dr. Tamer Mekki, Dr. Abdel Aziz Ali and Dr. Ghada Atta, Heads of Scientific Divisions of the Authority.
