Beni Suef University in the first rank among the Egyptian universities in the engineering sector in the classification of the Times

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university has won the first rank at the level of  the Egyptian universities in the engineering sector with  Aswan University according to the British Times classification for 2020, with a global ranking of 301-400 in the engineering and technology sector, it beat the universities of Banha, Tanta, Zagazig, Mansoura, Ain Shams, Alexandria, American University, Assiut, Cairo, Menoufia, Minya, Sohag, Suez Canal, Al-Azhar and Helwan
He stressed that the university maintains its international position in the center of 601-800 in the last four years despite the increase of ranked universities.
Dr. Mansour explained that the university occupied that position after being included in the classification for the first time in the history of Egyptian universities in the engineering sector
which is based on five main indicators with a number of sub- detailed criteria in the areas of education and the educational environment (30%), the size of published research and income from scientific research and reputation by (30%) citations research impact by (30%) international relations, faculty and students Research (7.5%) and industry income Transfer of knowledge from innovations and patents (2.5%)
He added that the classification excludes universities that do not teach to undergraduate students whose output of research published globally has not reached 1000 researches in the last four years and a minimum of 150 researches in the world
Dr. Mansour Hassan said that this success is the result  of continuous and distinguishing work for researchers in the engineering sector in particular and all sectors in general. As well as conscious follow-up to the International Classification Office. The university offers all the support for researchers in their various specialties
