President of Beni Suef University announces success of Arab Championship for Fencers in its third edition

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed the closing ceremony of the Arab Championship for University fencers, held at Beni Suef University from 24-26 February, with the participation of 150 players from 30 universities from eight Arab countries. In the presence of Dr. Assem Salama, Deputy Governor of Beni Suef, Sheikh / Salem Al Qasimi, President of the Arab Federation of Fencers , Dr. Hisham Al-Gyoshi, Secretary General of the Sports Federation, Vice-Presidents, Deans of Colleges, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. / Mukhtar Amin, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education.

The participants delegations commended the advanced level of Beni Suef University in championship organization, thanking Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan for sponsoring the tournament, all those who participated in the success of the tournament and the organizers, wishing the University further prosperity in the coming period. They also expressed their happiness to come to the land of Egypt and their participation In the tournament.

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan announced that Salwa Gaber, Alexandria University won the first place,
  Sarah Tamer Al-Tuni, Alexandria University won the second place, and Sherut Gaber and Lama Yassin won the third place in women's singles. Ahmed Al-Sukary, Naval Academy won the first place, and Mohab Mowafi, Misr University of Science and Technology won the second place. Faisal Abed from Saudi Arabia and Wagdi Kamal from Tunisia won the third place in men's singles.

In terms of collective teams, the university president announced that the Union of Arab Universities (Egypt, Tunisia and Jordan) won the first place, Helwan University in the second place, Diyala University in Iraq and Alexandria University in the third place in the men's teams. While Alexandria University won the first place, Helwan University got the second place, Beni Suef University and the Union of Arab Universities got the third place in girls' teams.

 It is worth mentioning that the closing ceremony included a collective singing by University's chorus team, and a documentary film about preparing for the championship, exchange of armors, and honoring the winners.
