President of Beni Suef University : Creating program to implement the initiative of President Al Sisi "Egypt's Craftsmen"

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, discussed preparations for the implementation of the initiative of President / Abdel Fattah Al Sisi on Egypt's Craftsmen, which was presented at a meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities headed by Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research during the university council meeting No. (167) on January 23, in the presence of Counselor / Hani Abdul Gabber, Governor of Beni Suef, Deans of faculties and the members of University Council.

The university president explained that the initiative aims to train and qualify the owners of handicrafts, and professions such as carpentry, plumbing, electricity and heritage crafts such as carpet, ceramic, sculpture and other crafts to meet the labor market needs of trained workers.

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan pointed out that an executive program has been set up for the initiative. Some of the factories have been contacted to study the required needs and disciplines. A committee will be formed, headed by the Vice President for Community Service, and the Faculties of Earth Science, Industrial Education, Tourism and hotels, Computers and Information, Applied Arts, the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises Studies, and Social Work.

The university president recommended to the committee the need to define the mechanisms of communication with the beneficiaries of the initiative through cooperation with the governorate and to obtain an integrated database of industrial and craftsmen in the governorate.
