President of Beni Suef University inaugurates sports tournament for people with disabilities
Dr. Mansoor Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, inaugurated the Sports Tournament for Persons with Disabilities organized by the Department of Sprts Management at the Faculty of Physical Education in cooperation with the University's Disability Challenger Unit, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khader, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, a number of deans of the faculties of the university and faculty members in the college amidst a remarkable presence of students.
In his speech, the university president stressed the importance of the championship, which enables the handicapped to play a healthy sport and give them the opportunity to participate in other local, Arab and international tournaments, pointing out that the organization of the tournament came under the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi for all institutions concerned with providing the necessary resources for persons with disabilities and supporting them fully.
It is worth mentioning that the opening ceremony included a number of sports shows for the students of the college for Karate and Parcour games. It also included a number of games for people with disabilities from youth centers and clubs in Beni Suef in basketball, volleyball, bell and athletics. The university students also donated the shield of the university to the university president.
