Beni Suef University launches a comprehensive medical convoy in the village of Babuit
University of Beni Suef, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, launched a comprehensive medical convoy in the village of Babweet in the center of Al Wasta, with seven faculties: human medicine, veterinary medicine, arts, science, social service, physiotherapy and nursing.
For his part, the university president pointed out that the university, with all its faculties and its specialized professors and experts, will spare no effort to support all service and development projects, and provide scientific studies and consultations for all the projects being implemented in the governorate. Stressing that the university organized this convoy within the community activities implemented by the community service sector and environmental development in cooperation with the university.
The Governor of Beni Suef Hany Abdel Gaber praised the role of the university and described it as an expert house for its scientific cadres, academic and research expertise, its clear and tangible contributions, and continuous support for its participation in all service and development projects being implemented in the governorate. Expressing his full confidence in achieving more fruitful cooperation between the university and the governorate in the coming period to push forward the development of the province, noting the importance of the role of the University of Beni Suef as a key partner and pivotal in the development of visions and plans to improve the province.
Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, Advisor / Hany Abdel-Jaber, Governor of Beni Suef and Prof. Hisham Boshra, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, toured the medical and veterinary clinics to follow up the work of the convoy.
The President of the University explained that the purpose of the medical convoy is to conduct a comprehensive survey of all diseases in various specialties of internal medicine, orthopedics, ophthalmology, nose and ear, surgery, children, women and obstetrics, skin and others, free treatment of patients, and transfer the critical cases to the university hospital immediately, in order to instill a culture of community service, and to introduce the role of the university in the performance of its mission to serve and develop the environment in various fields, and the benefit of the community from scientific competencies specialized in all medical fields.
Regarding the veterinary convoy, the university president explained that it aims to treat infected animals free of charge, and provide guidance on animal and bird diseases and awareness to reduce the spread of infectious and seasonal diseases.
It should be noted that the convoy of awareness held a number of awareness and cultural seminars in the village schools and surrounding villages.
