President of Beni Suef University: Add the name of Industrial Pharmacy to the Department of Pharmaceutics within Faculty of Pharmacy

    Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University of Beni Suef during his presidency of the University Council at its 159th session on 30/5/2018 approved the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities to change the name of Pharmaceutics Department in the Faculty of Pharmacy to the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy.    It is worth mentioning that the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy is concerned with the theoretical and practical study of the physico-chemical properties of active and ineffective substances in the formulation of pharmaceutical preparations and their effect on the effectiveness of these preparations, as well as studying the various methods of composition of solid and liquid forms at the pharmacy, hospital or plant level. As well as the study of quality control and the foundations of the composition of good medicine and various tests conducted on these preparations to ensure their conformity to specifications and through it the student recognizes the most important pharmaceuticals used locally and internationally and As well as instructions to be given to the patient to use the drug in the best way safe according to the instructions for it.

    The department also deals with the teaching of industrial pharmacy courses related to the production of pharmaceuticals on an industrial scale, as well as research in the field of good pharmaceutical manufacturing as an applied stage for the production of pharmaceuticals. The department has a service activity related to the pharmaceutical industry by contributing to solving industrial problems and obstacles Drug production by pharmaceutical companies and technical consultation in the production and evaluation of pharmaceutical products.
