President of Beni Suef University signs a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Company for Space Applications

In the framework of the participation of Beni Suef University in the implementation of the plan of the National Plan for Sustainable Development and Investment, Prof. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University and Dr. Hassan El Shafei, President of the Egyptian Company for Space Applications and Remote Sensing, signed a joint cooperation protocol for the implementation of projects for the detection of wealth in the ground.
The university president explained that the aim of the protocol is to enhance the role of the Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology in implementing a number of scientific projects to serve the purposes of sustainable development and investment in the governorate of Beni Suef and neighboring governorates, using modern technological techniques, including obtaining satellite images and radar scanning technologies, The depth of the ground up to depths of 400 meters using penetrating soil radars, which necessitates the cooperation of the university with the company, especially a company that has approvals from the Council of Ministers using these techniques.
He added that the implementation of these projects helps to examine the depths of the soil for the projects of construction and construction and infrastructure work, and search for natural and industrial spaces in the ground, in addition to monitoring the lines and networks of infrastructure and the leaks of leaks in the water lines and sewage networks and oil pipelines and identify areas of their presence, Groundwater reservoirs, and challenge the ideal locations for drilling groundwater wells.
According to Prof. Dr. Mervat Ahmed Awad, Dean of the College of Space Sciences, the company under the protocol will train the students of the College on radar survey work and the use of analysis and processing programs for the survey results, including the provision of relevant scientific materials.
