President of Beni-Suef University in Science Sector Meeting: our university is a model for emerging universities and the sector head praises the existence of a research city at university.

Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, President of Beni-Suef University opened the meeting of   Basic Science Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities in the presence of vice-President and the deans of science faculties at Egyptian universities and Dr. / Ahmed Fouad Pasha, Head of the sector.

In his speech,Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, assured that the university has seen a remarkable development in recent times in the advancement of scientific research, so the university prepared a strategy plan under the slogan "Towards Research University," and we beat all the challenges that we faced, especially in light of the difficult period of the country and we were able to create the Faculty Graduate studies and advanced Science, a unique college of its kind and it aimed at the promotion of scientific research at the university.

President of the University, adding that the second step in university's plan to promote research is to create a research city including 24 research institutions in all fields of science, there was a focus on multiple dimensions, including the establishment of specialized institutes to serve scientific research in general, such as the Institute of Laser and another dimension aims to link research with industry, so we established the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants to take advantage of competitive advantage for the province, export more than 40% of the medicinal plants and cooperation with the province and making an industrial agricultural project in the province, and there is another dimension that is represented in taking advantage of youth energy for the advancement of the national economy through the creation of the Institute for small and medium enterprises and which led to the economic progress of many advanced countries.
