President of Beni-Suef University: Coptic Studies, Drama and Theatrical Criticism and Criticism Science, new departments at Faculty of Arts

The Board of Beni-Suef University, headed by Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, President of the university approved, during its meeting No. (142) held on 24/1/2017, on creating  three new departments at the Faculty of Arts, they are Coptic Studies, Drama and Theatrical Criticism and Criticism Science.

The Rector explained that the study of new departments will be based on credit hours system ,as the college awards bachelor's degree in arts and Coptic antiquities from the Coptic Studies Department, which is considered a study at high academic level of everything that belongs to art and Coptic history through the ages and working on studies that emphasize the unity of the Egyptians and supporting the rights of citizenship, through the principles and rules of the scientific method, especially Coptic studies and for the departments of drama and criticism science, they aim at graduating an academic researcher and theatrical practitioner in the fields of text and display that combines theory and practice on academic basis to prepare students theoretically and practically.

Rector noted that the university is sparing no effort in supporting the Faculty of Arts  and opening of new sections in order to achieve a good position at the local and international levels and prepare scientific competitive qualified cadres, and keep up with what's new to meet the needs of the labor market
