Beni Suef University Participates in the 14th University Youth Week at Minia University

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced the university's
participation in the 14th Universities and Higher Institutes Youth Week.
which hosted by Minia University from September 25 to 30, 2026, under the theme "From the Heart of Upper Egypt... We Create." The event involves 3,416 participants representing 31 Egyptian universities—National, and private institutions—and is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Abdel-Aziz Konsowa, and Minia University President Dr. Essam Farhat.
The organization of this week coincides with Minia University’s Golden Jubilee celebrations—marking fifty years since its founding—as part of efforts to support student activities and foster a spirit of competition and creativity among Egyptian university youth.
The event is attended by Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Hossam El-Hawary, the University’s Student Activities Coordinator; and Captain Mohamed Farouk, General Director of Student Welfare.
The University President stated that the first day of the week’s events saw an outstanding performance by the university delegation across various sports and cultural competitions; notably, the men's football team secured a well-deserved 2–1 victory over the Al-Azhar University team, delivering a strong performance that demonstrated their readiness to contend for top rankings.
The university’s women's team also continued its impressive performance by securing a resounding 5–0 victory over the Qena University team—a match that showcased the players' exceptional skill and high fighting spirit.
In the volleyball competition, the Beni Suef University team achieved a significant 2–0 win against Kafrelsheikh University, adding another victory to the university's record as it begins its participation in this major youth gathering for Egyptian universities.
On the artistic and cultural front, Dr. Hamada Mohamed noted that the "Rovers" team delivered an outstanding performance during the entertainment event held as part of the opening ceremonies; the performance was well-received by the audience and showcased the diverse artistic talents and creativity of the university's students.
Captain Mohamed Farouk explained that the university's participation in the University Youth Week reflects the administration's commitment to supporting student activities and honing students' skills in sports, culture, and the arts. This contributes to the holistic development of students' personalities and fosters values of positive competition and interaction among the youth of Egyptian universities.
