President of Beni Suef University : Establishing the Faculty of Earth Science

Beni Suef University Council approved, in its meeting No. (134), held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, University President on establishing the Faculty of Earth Science instead of the Institute of Water and Petroleum Technology ,that comes in the framework of university interest in national projects that serve the country and contribute in creating everything that contributes in the development of vital fields that serve the homeland.

Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, Rector explained that the Faculty of Earth Science is the first of its kind in Egypt, and it will include all the disciplines related to earth science not just water and oil science, explaining that the college will study all the aspects of water resources, petroleum, mineral resources and the environmental impacts and it seeks to access leadership and innovation through the adoption of specialized study programs in these fields.

The Rector added that the college aims to prepare qualified scientific cadres in the field of Earth Science, and providing them with practical skills matching with the standards of the National Authority for quality assurance and accreditation.
