In a special ceremony, Beni Suef University honors its students with disabilities, class of 2024-2025.

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, attended today the grand ceremony to honor the 2024-2025 graduating class of students with disabilities, organized by the Center for Services for Students with Disabilities, in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, the Education and Student Affairs Sector, the Faculty of Mass Communication and the Youth Welfare Department, the "Students for Egypt" family, and the Military Education Department, in the presence of Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Heba Abu El-Nil, Dean of the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences, Dr. Azza El-Gohary, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Haitham Nagi, Director of the Center, Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University, Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director-General of Youth Welfare, Dr. Alfat El-Sherif, Deputy Director of the Center, a number of public figures, Dr. Heba Abdel-Azim, Member of Parliament, representatives of Al-Azhar, the Ministries of Social Solidarity and Education, in addition to a number of faculty members, students, and parents.
The ceremony featured a number of diverse artistic performances by students with disabilities, including solo singing, poetry, religious chanting, and singing in sign language. The events also included a video presentation about the Student Services Center for Students with Disabilities, and a fatherly dialogue between the university president and the graduating students.
Dr. Tariq Ali stressed the university’s commitment to supporting and empowering our students with disabilities through an integrated system that includes academic, psychological and social support, noting that honoring the students today is a culmination of the students’ efforts for their excellence, and a clear message that the university is their supportive home, appreciating the directives of the political leadership, headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which emphasize the need to care for and empower people with disabilities in various fields.
For his part, Dr. Hamada Mohammed pointed out that the university is proud of its students with disabilities who have proven their ability to excel and distinguish themselves in various fields, whether academic, sports or artistic, stressing the university’s keenness to create an inclusive educational environment that ensures equal opportunities and enhances the capabilities of all students.
Dr. Haitham Naji explained that the center works continuously to provide academic, psychological and technical support to students with disabilities, noting that this celebration comes as a culmination of a year of hard work and fruitful cooperation between the various sectors of the university.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, outstanding students with disabilities in the academic, sports and artistic fields and their parents were honored, and they received certificates of appreciation. The students also presented a symbolic gift to the university president, which was a commemorative "portrait" of the university president.
