The Beni Suef University Council, chaired by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, approved, in its 243rd session, holding an introductory seminar on intellectual property and patents at the College of Graduate Studies for Advanced Sciences. The seminar was attended by Dr. Tarek Ali, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, deans of faculties, and council members
The symposium comes within the framework of enhancing cultural and legal awareness among young people about the concept of intellectual property, its role in protecting creative ideas and projects, and the laws governing and protecting patents, enabling individuals to gain recognition for their innovations or inventions. The Council also approved holding an environmental day to raise awareness about how to preserve the environment, rationalize water consumption, and use environmentally friendly products
