Collaboration Protocol Signed Between Beni Suef University's Faculty of Tourism and Hotels and Jaz & Steigenberger Hotel Groups

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, Dr. Magdy Abdel-Aleem, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and Mr. Wael Abu Al-Saud, Regional Director of Jaz & Steigenberger Hotels and Companies, signed a cooperation agreement in the fields of tourism and hospitality education and training. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Mostafa Salama, Regional Director of Human Resources for the group, Dr. Nahla Helmy, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Mahmoud Moawad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohamed Farag, Marketing Coordinator for the faculty’s services, and Mr. Karim Mohamed, Teaching Assistant in the Hotel Management Department.
Dr. Mansour Hassan emphasized the academic significance of this partnership, which aims to equip students with modern technological and environmental skills required in the job market. He also highlighted the importance of alternative learning opportunities and promoting education for employment, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030, which focuses on individual and community development through a comprehensive system of education, training, and employment.
The agreement includes the introduction of a Bachelor’s Program in Hotel Management under a dual education system, integrating theoretical learning, practical training, and fieldwork. As part of the program, students will undergo training in 60 hotels affiliated with the group, ensuring diverse and hands-on experience across multiple hotels and cities throughout their four-year study period. The program will focus on two key specializations: Food & Beverage Management and Accommodation Services. Graduates will receive an experience certificate reflecting their practical training during their academic journey.
