Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, chaired the 12th meeting of the Steering Committee for the National University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Doaa Ahmed, Head of Student Affairs; Dr. Momtaz Hijab, Dean of the Engineering and Basic & Applied Sciences Sector; Dr. Ahmed El-Gendy, Dean of the Health Sciences Sector; Dr. Rasha Adel, Dean of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Sector; Dr. Shaaban Mobarez, Financial Advisor; Dr. Heba Atef, Director of the Quality Unit; Mr. Mohamed Salim, Secretary-General of the University; and program coordinators.

The meeting commenced with the signing of several cooperation protocols between faculties of the public university and their counterparts at the National University, including the Faculties of Engineering, Science, and Space Sciences & Technology. These agreements aim to maximize the use of available facilities and laboratories to enhance the educational experience and equip graduates with the skills needed for the job market.

The committee reviewed the university’s development plan, including infrastructure preparations across all sectors. Several proposals were approved, including:

  • The Faculty of Nursing's proposal to hold its first student conference on Artificial Intelligence in Nursing.
  • The Faculty of Dentistry's participation in the IDEX Egypt international dental exhibition and conference.
  • The Faculty of Pharmacy's engagement in a pharmaceutical exhibition, a workshop at the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Institute, and a student conference in collaboration with the Scientific Association of Pharmacy Students.
  • The establishment of international cooperation agreements with foreign universities to provide student training opportunities.
  • The appointment of an IT officer for each academic program.

Additionally, the committee approved:

  • A scientific field trip for third-year students in the Surveying and Geographic Mapping Program to South Sinai for practical training.
  • Student activities within the Clinical Psychology Program.
  • Collaboration protocols with media institutions.
  • The quality assurance center's work plan for the second semester.
