The Faculty of Education at Beni Suef University participated under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Osama Mahmoud Qarni Dean of the College, in the training program "Preparing Curricula" in Cairo, within the Excellence Initiative Forum funded by the United States Agency for International Development USAID. In the presence of Dr. Eid Muhammad Abdul Aziz, Assistant Professor in the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods, and Dr. Hadeel Hussein Farag, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mental Health and Deputy Director of the Quality and Accreditation Unit at the College

The university president explained that the training program “Preparing Curricula” addressed a number of topics, including multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary education, designing multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary courses to prepare teachers, educational practices in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary courses, and how to formulate and define smart learning outcomes for students and the reverse design in developing multiple and interdisciplinary courses, with a focus on the characteristics of learning outcomes, components of the course curriculum, course description and study plan. Dr. Osama Qarni added that the workshops and courses also addressed how to apply the standards of effective teaching according to each of the behavioral theories of learning, the theory of cognitive learning, and the theory of information processing, as well as how to use parallel teaching (or co-teaching) Teaching collaboration, and alternative teaching
At the end of the workshops, the methods of evaluating multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary courses, formative assessment, authentic assessment, etc. were explained, in addition to the course policies and procedures and how to align assessment with learning outcomes and course content, and the importance of matching them with learning outcomes and educational activities
