Within the 16-day campaign... the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at Beni Suef University organizes an awareness meeting for coordinators

Under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at the university, in cooperation with the Faculty of Commerce and the National Council for Women, organized an awareness meeting for coordinators from the university’s college students, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Dean of the College, and Dr. Esmat Salman, Vice Dean of the College for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and in the presence of Dr. Ghada Atef, Director of Anti-Violence Unit at the University, Dr. Shaimaa Naeem, Director General of the General Administration of Strategy at the National Council for Women, Ms. Narmin Mahmoud, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women, Dr. Nagah Al-Talawi, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Minya Governorate, and members of the unit and college coordinators from faculty members, assistant staff, and male and female students representing the university’s colleges.
The meeting aims to build students' capacities and raise awareness of forms of violence and how to deal with them by combating violence, the role of the unit at the university, the provided services and how to submit complaints by clarifying the communication channels available to them to communicate their complaints to the unit to work on resolving them, in addition to highlighting the role of the National Council branch in Beni Suef to support the Anti-Violence Unit at the university to perform its role to the fullest. The meeting also addressed the legal aspect of combating violence in general and combating violence against, and the meeting included a dialogue session with students to find out their needs from the unit and their suggestions for developing the unit's performance to make the university community a safe, supportive educational environment free of violence and discrimination.
