The Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized an awareness day on the benefits and importance of blood donation, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Nagi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hanan El-Zeblawy Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in the presence of faculty members and students.

During the day, a blood donation campaign was organized in cooperation with the University Hospital Blood Bank and the Regional Blood Bank. The campaign was coupled with a scientific symposium to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and its benefits to the donor and the lack of impact of donation on his health. It also addressed the conditions and contraindications of blood donation and the necessary time intervals between each donation, which are three months for men and four months for women. The symposium also addressed the tests conducted on the donor and the importance of ensuring the availability of a blood stock in blood banks in hospitals in order to save lives of the injured and sick people.
