Beni Suef AL-Alsun Faculty organizes the college introductory day to celebrate new students

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Al-Alsun ??organized, under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty Dr. Shaima Kamal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Heba Mohamed Fawzy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hanaa Mahmoud, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, the college’s introductory day for celebrating the reception of new students for the academic year 2024/2025, in the presence of faculty members, employees, and new and old students
The university president explained that the aim of organising the orientation day is to create a bridge of communication between students and the college, including all its faculty members, support staff, and employees, and to introduce them to the different departments and the nature of study in each department, and university life in general, which is completely different from the pre-university education stage
The university president added that the goal of establishing the Faculty of Al-Alsun ??is to graduate young people who are proficient in the languages which ??spoken by peoples with geographical, cultural and civilizational weight in the world, which helps in civilizational, cultural, social and intellectual communication. Communication through living languages ??is one of the most important tools of the era that helps in progress and creative coexistence among peoples. Moreover, building an advanced society in Egypt cannot be achieved without effective communication with the advanced countries that surround us
Mastering the major languages which spoken by countries is an urgent necessity in the world we live in now. Dr. Marwa Mahmoud, Dean of the College, pointed out that today's activities included introducing the different departments of the college, namely the English Department, the French Department, the German Department, the Chinese Department, the English Written and Simultaneous Translation Program, and the German Translation Program, and presenting the activities carried out by each department and the events it organizes
The attendees also discussed the importance of focusing on acquiring knowledge in foreign languages, developing translation skills and critical scientific thinking, preparing a generation of translators and researchers capable of transferring Arab culture into global languages, and transferring global culture into Arabic, encouraging academic research in foreign languages, preparing generations of graduates specializing in foreign languages ??who are capable of teaching them to future generations, and respecting ethical values ??in education, research, community service, and professional practice
