“Effective Study Skills,” a symposium for students of the Clinical Psychology Program at Beni Suef National University

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, Acting President of Beni Suef National University, the Clinical Psychology Program organized a symposium entitled Effective Study Skills for First-Level Students, under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Dawoud, Academic Vice President, Dr. Suhair Abdel Basset, Dean of the Arts and Humanities Sector, and Dr. Qayati Ashour, the academic coordinator of the program.
The university president explained that the aim of the symposium is to educate students on how to optimally utilize time, the secrets of academic excellence, and how to deal with negative thoughts. He pointed out that the importance of the symposium lies in ensuring that students are made aware of the correct methods of studying and organizing time, especially with the approaching mid-semester exams. Second, in addition to helping and guiding them to get rid of the stress and anxiety that lead them to follow wrong methods of studying.
For his part, Dr. Qayati Ashour reviewed during the symposium the best methods for effective study and comprehension, mind maps, academic excellence, time management, study schedules during the exam period and factors that help focus, pointing out the importance of placing the most difficult courses at the front of the study schedule.
