Students of Faculty of Mass Communication in Beni Suef win the second place in Shorouk International Festival

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the students of the Journalism Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication won the second place in the Graduation Paper Project Award at the Shorouk International Festival for Mass Communication Student in its eighth session in 2024 at the Cairo Opera House, under the patronage of Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayyid, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication. Dr. Nisreen Hossam El-Din, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Fatima Fayez, Head of the Journalism Department, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Attia, Lecturer at the Journalism Department, Dr. Yousra Akoush, Assistant Lecturer at the Journalism Department, and Ms. Fatma Fathi, Teaching Assistant in the Journalism Department.
The university president emphasized that the victory achieved by the journalism department students in the competition of "Oxygen" magazine project, which impressed the judging panel, is a continuation of the series of achievements that students achieve in many student competitions at the level of Egyptian and Arab universities. He pointed out that this year's festival witnessed the participation of 41 universities, including 17 Egyptian governmental universities, 20 private Egyptian universities, and 4 Arab universities, with more than 180 works in various media arts. He affirmed that the university provides its students with all the academic and scientific resources that enable them to develop their skills to keep pace with the rapid developments in the labor market.

For his part, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Sayyed praised the level of the students of the Journalism Department, their outstanding performance, and their active participation in this competition and other various student activities, stressing the role and efforts of the faculty members at the department in constantly working to raise the level of student performance, pointing out that the excellence and distinction achieved by the students reflects the quality of the educational process at the college.
