Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the College of Special Needs Science organized a scientific symposium entitled “Promoting professional investment in craft industries for people with disabilities,” under the supervision of Dr. Walid Farouk, Dean of the College, and under the slogan “Integration, vocational training, and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities for economic participation in Egyptian society.
Dr. Mansour Hassan confirmed that the College of Special Needs Science is the first in the Middle East and within Egypt that is concerned with the field of people with special needs, as it is considered one of the unique and distinguished colleges and has an effective role in dealing with various disabilities through the undergraduate and graduate programs in the research field of disabilities.
The symposium, which was lectured by Dr. Walid Farouk, Dean of the College, and was directed to the supporting staff of male and female teaching assistants at the College of Special Needs Science, discussed the importance of activating the achievement file and how to document it to evaluate field training students at the third and fourth levels at the college, the students’ graduation projects, and the importance of refining students with scientific and practical skills in their selection for tools, standards, devices and standardized programs that enrich the college’s laboratories and units in various specializations.
