“Methods of dealing with exam anxiety,” a guidance seminar for students at Beni Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, the Faculty of Special Needs Science at Beni Suef University organized a guidance seminar on “Methods of Dealing with Exam Anxiety,” within the framework of supporting students psychologically and morally under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Walid Farouk, Dean of the College, and Dr. Mona Kamal, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, where Dr. Hammad Ahmed, a teacher in the Department of Mental Disability and Director of the Psychological Support Unit, lectured at the symposium. This came in the presence of the college deans and a large number of faculty members, amid a remarkable presence of students.
The symposium, which was organized by the Psychological Support Unit in cooperation with the College’s Academic Counseling Unit, discussed what test anxiety is, how to deal with it, types of anxiety, the concept of test anxiety, the difference between normal anxiety and pathological anxiety, mechanisms for dealing with test anxiety with appropriate counseling and therapeutic techniques, and providing some advice and guidance for students to avoid fear of exams.
