The university president explained that the proposal aims to enable people of determination to participate in the electoral process for the presidential elections scheduled to be held next December, and one of the most prominent methods to help facilitate the participation of people with disabilities in the presidential electoral election is to provide them with ballot cards designed in the “Braille” style of writing for the blind" with the presence of specialists in visual impairment from the same college, and preparing visual aid services by designing a video using the unified sign language for people with hearing disabilities from the deaf categories with the aim of identifying the voting mechanism within the electoral committees with the presence of sign language experts from the Faculty of Special Needs Science, and allocating committees of college students to provide assistance in the mobility and movement process necessary for people with physical and mobility disabilities
It should be noted that the prevalence of people with disabilities at the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt, according to an estimate by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, may reach approximately 9 million or more in the various governorates, in addition to overcoming any problems that may face their voting process inside and outside the committees.
