Beni Suef University launches its awareness initiative to teach students sign language

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Science for People with Special Needs, in cooperation with the Faculty of Nursing, organized a symposium on sign language as part of its awareness initiative, “ Speak Sign.” Under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Walid Farouk Hassan, Dr. Mohamed Naji, Dean of the two colleges, and deputies and faculty members of the two colleges, where Dr. Mohamed Rashdan, teacher of hearing impairment at the college, lectured at the symposium amid a remarkable presence of students
Dr. Mansour Hassan stressed that the university is keen, through its various colleges, to communicate with people of determination from students and the external community, based on the social responsibility that Beni Suef University adopts towards the surrounding community, in light of the interest of the new republic during the era of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for our children from People of determination, regardless of their ages, educational and social levels, and to integrate them into society As they possess the energies that make them a real force for the advancement of society, hence it has become necessary for the university administration to implement courses and workshops to train students on how to communicate with people of determination, such as teaching sign language and others, and spreading awareness about it through specialized colleges such as the College of Science for People with Special Needs
