The President of Beni Suef University witnesses the opening activities of the thirteenth Universities Youth Week

Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed the opening activities of the 13th Egyptian Universities and Institutes Youth Week at Helwan University, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and with the participation of 45 Egyptian universities.
Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the number of participating students reached approximately 160 male and female students from Beni Suef Public and National University, at the level of all the various activities that contribute to developing skills, enhancing awareness, and deepening the national spirit, stressing that the university pays great attention to student activities in all their forms. It encourages students to develop their talents, with the aim of preparing generations capable of innovation and creativity, and graduating a generation of young people capable of creating the future.
Dr. Hossam Al-Hawari, Student Activities Coordinator at the University, explained that the activities of the first day begin with rangers activities represented by the morning visit to the camp, holding a scouting briefing competition, as well as the artistic poster competition, the Prophetic Hadiths competition, the general opening ceremony of the scout camp, in addition to a life skills workshop, as well as historical figures, renewable energy, a psychological behavior symposium, and a religious information competition, in laboratories and classrooms, in addition to a summer party.
Dr. Sherif Mamdouh, student activity coordinator at National University, indicated that
The scientific activity will begin with the science exhibition, an introductory symposium on climate change, as well as a robotics competition workshop, and a mechatronics competition, and the scientific exhibition will be opened.
Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of Youth Welfare, explained the cultural activity. A wall newspaper workshop will be held in the exhibition hall, while the sporting activity events will begin with the first round of the group league for female students’ volleyball, as well as the first round of the group league for five-a-side football, and the first round of the group league for basketball. Female students, in addition to the second round of the group tournament for male volleyball, and also the first, second and third round of the group tournament for male handball.
It should be noted that the social activity events are represented by the first round of chess competition, and the parallel activities are represented by a visit to the area of the pyramids and the Sphinx, a free tour of Al-Muizz Street and Khan Al-Khalili, the opening of the art exhibition for the university faculties in the Arts and Culture Complex, and holding artistic concerts in the Arts and Culture Complex.
The artistic activities include the music and choral competition at the Arts and Culture Complex, in addition to an artistic workshop for the students of the sculpture competition.
