Students from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Beni Suef University, visited the animal production complex in Youssef Al-Siaddiq City in Fayoum

Under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, under the supervision of Dr. Sabri Tammam, Dean of the Faculty, organized a field visit for the students of the faculty to the animal production complex in Yusuf Al-Siddiq City in Fayoum, in cooperation with the Department of Military Education under the supervision of Colonel / Eid Mahmoud, Director of the Military Education Department, in the presence of Dr. Nermin Atef El-Shimi, Vice Dean for Environmental Service Affairs, and a number of faculty members and students.

The visit is part of a program to promote national identity among students and introduce them to the huge national projects that are being implemented, activate the cooperation protocol concluded with the National Service Projects Authority, and to link the educational aspect to the practical one as one of the foundations of the training plan developed by the college administration for undergraduate students. The students inspected the integrated animal production complex, which is located on an area of 485 acres, and includes three farms for raising and fattening livestock, and an automatic slaughterhouse consisting of two lines that were established according to the latest international systems and health and environmental requirements. The complex includes a number of dairy and meat products factories.

The complex also includes a scientific center for veterinary research and training on an area of 13 thousand square meters, which includes a group of lecture halls and laboratories equipped for the benefit of the veterinary work system in the complex, and it was designed and equipped to keep pace with scientific and technological progress in the fields of animal, poultry and fish production for the advancement of livestock.

For their part, the students expressed their happiness with the huge technological boom in the animal production complex, and its technical level through the latest devices and equipment in addition to the highly trained human cadres, which are in line with the orientations of the new republic and Egypt's vision towards sustainable development 2030.
