President of Beni Suef University announces the nature of study and fields of work in the Applied Science Program for Space, the first of its kind at the level of National universities

Dr. Mansour Hassan, Acting President of Beni Suef National University, announced today the continuation of admission for applications at the Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology in the Applied Space and Navigation Science Program for high school students nationwide, at the headquarters of Beni Suef National University.

The university president explained that the College of Navigation Science and Space Technology is one of the specialized colleges and the first of its kind in the Middle East in the fields of astronautics and space applications and technology, pointing out that the applied science program focuses on studying space and navigation applications in various fields such as remote sensing, satellite communications, global positioning systems using satellite technology, satellite photography, data analysis and satellite images, and other modern space applications that are increasing day by day and that have become the cornerstone of technological progress in the modern era, and the program grants a bachelor's degree in navigation science and space technology specialization (applied science for space and navigation), which is the only specialization with this name in Egyptian and Arab universities concerned with space applications and astronautics.
The University President pointed out the diversity of fields of work after graduation from the college for students to include many institutions, the most important of which is
(The Egyptian Space Agency, which a decision was issued to establish - the African Space Agency, which a decision was issued to be located in the Arab Republic of Egypt) in addition to any body or research center related to the fields of space and communications or places that serve the field of space, satellites and astronautics, and among these places is the Remote Sensing Authority and Space Science, the Egyptian space program, universities. In addition to the possibility of working in scientific research centers, the Ministry of Military Production, the Ministry of Defense, civil and military airports, maritime and air navigation, the Civil Aviation Authority, satellite ground stations, all mobile companies, ministries: Communications - Petroleum - Electricity and Energy in addition to the Egyptian African Space Agency.

Dr. Osama Shalabiya, Dean of the College, added that the College has many distinguished laboratories, the most important of which are:
• Educational Satellite Laboratory (in cooperation with the Egyptian Space Agency)
• Space Electronics and Software Lab
• Antennas and wave propagation lab
• Robotics and microprocessors lab
• Rapid prototyping laboratory
 Small satellite assembly plant.
• Imaging laboratory and tracking of satellite and astronomical sites
• Laboratory analysis, design and programming of space missions
• Astronomical calculations laboratory
• An astronomical observatory equipped with an electro-optical telescope to track and monitor objects, astronomical phenomena and space debris.
