Under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the university received today a high-level delegation from the French National Center for Space Science Studies, in the presence of Dr. Tariq Ali, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Osama Shalabiya, Dean of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology, and Dr. Heba Abdul Halim, Vice Dean of the College, and a number of faculty members and students.
During the meeting, Dr. Tariq conveyed the greetings of Dr. Mansour Hassan to the delegation and his wishes for strengthening scientific and research cooperation between the university and the center in the field of space sciences, especially since the university is unique in having a specialized college in this field and has the capabilities, whether at the level of human cadres or scientific laboratories and devices that qualify it in Contribute to the development of the fields of space science and cooperate with international research bodies and centers.
Dr. Osama Shalabiya reviewed the scientific departments of the college, study methods and laboratories, which include a laboratory for designing spacecraft structures and materials, a laboratory for imaging and tracking satellite sites, a laboratory for analyzing satellite images, and a laboratory for analysis, design and programming of space missions.
For its part, the delegation praised the advanced level of graduation projects for students of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology, expressing their happiness at the presence of an academic scientific entity specialized in the fields of space sciences within Egyptian universities, and welcomed the joint cooperation with the university in the academic and research field.
