A graduation project for students of the College of Navigation Sciences to increase agricultural production using remote sensing artificial intelligence
Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, expressed his great happiness with the excellence of the students of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences, who are celebrating the graduation of their first grade this year... praising the research efforts made by the students to develop exceptional projects.
The university president said that the idea of the project revolves around the use of satellite images in partnership with the European Space Agency and artificial intelligence technology in predicting different types of crops and knowing the size and type of plant diseases.
Pointing out that students were able to use deep learning technology to know the number and size of oil reservoirs and oil reserves in many countries, including Egypt.
The students were also able to create a web program that allows users, including farmers and owners of various agricultural sectors, whether governmental or private, to use it to know and follow up the health of plants, predict drought indicators for their farms, reduce the use of pesticides harmful to the environment, and thus increase agricultural production.
