Students of the Faculty of Politics and Economics "Beni Suef" on a visit to the Egyptian Senate.

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that a student delegation from the Faculty of Politics and Economics visited the Egyptian Senate, under the auspices of Dr. Naglaa Bakr, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision and coordination of Dr. Shaimaa Abdel Salam, Lecturer of political science at the faculty.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hanan Suleiman, a member of the Senate, and she praised the level of Beni Suef University students in this meeting.
The activities of the visit began with a meeting with Dr. Ahmed Helmy, Head of the Committees and Sessions Sector. He presented a lecture to the students that included the history of parliamentary life in Egypt, the functions of the Senate and its main role. He also clarified the work of the committees in the Council and their terms of reference.
The university president explained that the delegation toured the corridors of the Senate building and visited the main hall of the Senate and the Constitution Hall, and the students received a lecture from Counselor / Mahmoud Etman, Secretary General of the Senate, in which they reviewed an overview of the Egyptian Senate, listened to students' questions, and answered all students' questions.
The university president added that this visit was based on Beni Suef University's keenness to introduce its students to the official institutions of the country and inform them of the work mechanisms of the Egyptian Senate and its importance in political life, pointing out that these visits enhance the values of citizenship among students.
For her part, Dr. Shaimaa Abdel-Salam praised the efforts made by the General Secretariat of the Senate, headed by Counselor / Mahmoud Etman, and the good reception, hospitality, and programs that she prepared for the students. She also praised the efforts made by the Protocol Department in receiving the students and the good organization under the leadership of Mr . Mohamed Jahin, Head of the Protocol and External Relations Sector in the Senate.
Prof. Dr. Nagah El-Rayyes, Professor of Political Science at Beni Suef University, also attended.
