Students of Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology "Beni Suef University" in a visit to the seaport of Damietta

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology organized a visit to Damietta seaport, in the presence of Major General Staff / Ahmed Hawash, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Damietta Port Authority, Dr. Osama Shalabiya, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hebatallah Muhammad Abdel Halim, Vice Dean for Education Affairs and Dr. Muhammad Murad, supervisor of college’s special program, and 35 students.

The activities of the visit began with a lecture to introduce the port and the activities within it, after that Dr. Mohamed Murad gave a lecture to introduce the college, as well as presenting one of the students’ graduation projects, as well as the cooperation projects currently in force with the Egyptian Space Agency.

The university president stated that the visit aims to discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides in order to achieve the college's main goal, which is graduating human cadres at the highest scientific and training level in the field of space science and technology and their applications in the field of maritime navigation, in addition to inviting a delegation of experts at the port to participate in discussing students' graduation projects.

    The delegation also toured the port, which included inspecting the most important landmarks in the port, which included a control tower for the entry and exit of ships to the port through satellite images. The visit concluded with an exchange of shields and taking some memorial photos.
