Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the organization of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology at the university in cooperation With the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa, a reconnaissance day to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the month of Shawwal for the year 2023, next Thursday, Ramadan 29, 1444 AH
Dr. Mansour confirmed that the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology at Beni Suef University is one of the monitoring and investigation committees  that sent by the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa, to cover the vision at the level of the Republic, indicating that the university is always interested in providing the faculty with the latest astronomical telescopes that help it conduct various surveys
Dr. Osama Shalabiya added that the college is not a fatwa body, but rather a scientific body that follows the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet in investigating the crescent, as our honorable Messenger commanded us, indicating that the college is one of the monitoring committees that contribute to the investigation of the holy month and the Arab months, stressing that the college has all respect and appreciation for the Egyptian House of Ifta represented by In the honorable Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawky Allam, as it is the only authority that has the final opinion on the dates of the beginnings and ends of the Hijri months
