Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that Dr. Dina Mohamed Atwa, a researcher at the Institute of Laser Research and Applications, has won With a research project from the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna under the title "Preservation and Development of Cultural Heritage Using Ionizing Radiation Technology" with a support value of 20 thousand euros
Dr. Mansour congratulated Dr. Dina Atwa for being the only winner of the project inside Egypt after submitting a comprehensive and distinguished research proposal regarding the peaceful applications of atomic energy. She obtained the project as a representative of Beni Suef University, where the project passed a great competition inside and outside Egypt to obtain a seat for 5 years in the Cultural Heritage Preservation Sector of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna The president of the university indicated that the project aims to study the effects of ionizing radiation and laser beams in order to purify and strengthen the Egyptian wooden antiquities, and that Egypt is one of the leading countries in the field of antiquities, stressing that the university provides all the necessary support to all researchers, and there are efforts made in the recent period in the field of upgrading scientific research and supporting Researchers with all the necessary capabilities and raise the name of the university high at all local, regional and international levels
Dr. Dina Atwa expressed her happiness at congratulating Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and his constant support for faculty members, scientists, and researchers to encourage them to conduct more scientific research and international participation to achieve advanced positions in international classifications in various disciplines.
