Science for People with Special Needs organizes a workshop on "Awareness of Disability"

The Faculty of Science for People with Special Needs at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized a workshop on "Awareness of Disability". This was under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Heba Abu El-Nil, Dean of the College, in the framework of caring for students with disabilities at the university Where the activities of the workshop were implemented at the Training and Public Service Center at the college through cooperation between the Center for the Service of Students with Disabilities at the university, the AMIDEAST and the Helm Foundation Dr. Mansour Hassan emphasized that the university, through its various faculties, is keen to create community interaction to pay attention to  the rights of people of determination so that they become influential members of society, believing that they have special abilities, stressing the importance of the role of the university and civil society organizations in raising awareness of disability and providing care for them and their families. This is what the new republic is based on by providing real opportunities to integrate people of determination with society and to participate in various sports, cultural, artistic, scientific and social activities Dr. Heba Abu El-Nile, Dean of the College, indicated that the training was attended by a number of faculty members and employees who were nominated by a number of different colleges  which interested in students with disabilities at the university, such as the faculties of commerce, arts, law, sciences for people with special needs, Al alsun, politics and economics, Social work, science, media, engineering, early childhood education, technology and education, nursing, navigation sciences and space technology
During the workshop, Dr. Haitham Naji, Director of the Students with Disabilities Service Center, introduced the vision and mission of the Students with Disabilities Service Center, clarified the purpose of this workshop and the need to employ these techniques and skills while dealing with students with disabilities. The trainers also presented their personal experiences with disabilities. and the techniques of communicating with persons with disabilities
