"Electronic rumors and mechanisms to deal with them," an educational symposium at the Faculty of Social Work, Beni Suef

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Social Work organized an educational symposium entitled Electronic rumors and mechanisms for dealing with them, under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Dr. Fadl Muhammad Ahmed, Vice Dean for Environmental Service and Community Development Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Saad El-Sherbiny, general coordinator of skills training of the second grade.
Prof. Dr. Mansour explained that the symposium was held in cooperation between the skills training supervisors and the Crisis Management and Student Support Unit at the college, and it was lectured by Dr. Hindawi Abdel-Lahi Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Amani Hamdi, a lecturer of journalism at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Beni Suef University, and Dr. Muhammad Saad Amin, Director of the Board of Directors of Information Service Authority in Beni Suef, which dealt with the topic of electronic rumors in terms of the concept of rumors in general and their types, with a focus on electronic rumors and how to deal with them, and how rumors affect the psyche of many who believe them without confirming or referring to the source of the real information, and that the audio-visual and print media have a major role in raising citizens' awareness not to believe rumors and to listen to officials.
