Causes and treatment of early marriage, a symposium at Beni Suef University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Social Work organized a symposium entitled "Early Marriage between Causes and Treatment" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abo Alhassan Abdel Mawgoud Ibrahim, Dean of the College, and in cooperation with the Social Security Unit at the university, this was in the presence of faculty members, Mr. Mohamed Mohsen and Ms. Rabab Mustafa, economic empowerment officials at the Social Solidarity Unit, volunteers from the graduates in Forsa Program, and Dr. Abeer Sayed, media advisor to a company, students, and employees.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan indicated that the symposium comes within the framework of cooperation between Beni Suef University and the Social Solidarity Unit, to hold seminars in various faculties to educate students about the harms of some habits and behaviors spread in society, and the need to address and solve this type of societal problems so as not to hinder the development movement in the country, and the importance of limiting that phenomenon to create an educated and conscious generation of young people who are healthy and intellectually fit.
Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Dean of the College, added that the symposium dealt with clarifying the concept of early marriage and its seriousness, the role of the social worker, how to address these phenomena and avoid their negative effects on society, and the role of social units in developing the culture of the individual and the group.
