Today, Beni Suef University, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, launched the "Towards Green Manufacturing" initiative in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, in the presence of Dr. Hana Gomaa, Technical Director of the Industrial Pollution Control Program at the Ministry of Environment, and the deans of the Faculties of Science, Pharmacy, Graduate Studies, Agriculture, and Arts. Applied Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Engineering, Dr. Mostafa El-Deeb, Director of the University Performance Development Center, Dr. Hemat Mohamed, Director of the Consulting Unit and Linking Research to Industry, and a number of representatives of companies and factories in Beni Suef Governorate.
The university president explained that this initiative aims to invite factories and companies in Beni Suef Governorate to convert to green manufacturing, adopt green manufacturing processes to reduce environmental risks, and provide scientific solutions on some of the problems facing the industrial sector and affecting the environment.
Dr. Mansour Hassan emphasized the role of Beni Suef University in advancing industrial development and preserving the environment and introducing its material and human capabilities to assist factories in developing strategic plans for the transformation of green manufacturing, whether in manufacturing processes or disposal of waste in ways that are safe for the environment and developing solutions for recycling and the use of clean energy. .
