The Board of Beni Suef University headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, in its session No. 215, approved the signing of a relevant cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Earth Sciences and the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company in Beni Suef Governorate with the aim of graduating new generations of graduates in the drinking water and sanitation sector with a wide range of knowledge With the various methods of drinking water purification, wastewater treatment, follow-up and evaluation, this came in the presence of university vice-presidents, college deans, and council members.
The university president confirmed that the protocol aims to achieve integration between the two sides and develop effective solutions to the problems of groundwater, surface water, and sanitation, especially in remote villages in the governorate, in addition to continuous training for college students in the company's laboratories and water purification and treatment plants, and joint research in the field of drinking water and wastewater. directly to serve the community.
Dr. Ibrahim Abdel-Gayed, Dean of the College of Earth Sciences, explained that the students will be trained in the field, monitor water sources and ways to manage them with the various authorities, monitor the sources of drinking water, purify it, sewage water and treat it in the governorates, methods of treatment and ways to sustain it, and implement joint research that serves the environment and society.
