The Faculty of Politics and Economics at Beni Suef University, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, organized a symposium under the supervision of Dr. Naglaa Bakr, Dean of the Faculty, entitled "The Impact of Presidential Initiatives on Supporting and Empowering Women" in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Nour Al-Basrati, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Ms. Nermin Mahmoud, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Beni Suef, Dr. Mosaad Al-Ghaish, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Ghany, Head of the Economics Department at the College.

Prof. Dr. Mansour said that the symposium discussed the various areas of presidential initiatives and their coverage of large segments of society and the impact of this on the family in general and women in particular, stressing the importance of those initiatives that cover the health sector, such as C-Virus Detection Initiative, early detection of breast cancer for women and other initiatives and on the social level, as a decent life initiative that covers villages and centers in all governorates, and the solidarity and dignity initiative for poor and low-income families, and the role of the National Council for Women in contributing towards the implementation of these initiatives and its impact on women in Beni Suef Governorate.

Prof. Nermin Mahmoud thanked Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, for his support of the female elements within the university.
