Beni Suef University Council agrees to hold a symposium between the Faculty of Agriculture and the regional office of Food and Agriculture Organization "FAO"

The Council of Beni Suef University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, approved in its session No. 215 the proposal of the Faculty of Agriculture regarding holding an online seminar between the Faculty and the regional office of Food and Agriculture Organization "FAO" in Cairo and implementing the "Towards a Sustainable Environment" initiative, in the presence of university's vice-presidents and deans of colleges, and members of the council.
Prof. Dr. Mansour said that the symposium will be held between the College of Agriculture and the regional office of Food and Agriculture Organization "FAO" in Cairo through an electronic platform on introducing the role of electronic agricultural extension and its applications in transmitting extension recommendations to farmers "mobile applications" in order to target students of the College of Agriculture through Zoom network.
The President of Beni Suef University stated that the "Towards a Sustainable Environment" initiative will be implemented and the desire of the Faculty of Social Work to develop awareness among students regarding the cultivation of empty areas such as roofs and balconies with some plants and the returns of that on the surrounding environment and on the public health of the population with the participation of specialized professors from the Faculty of Agriculture to achieve the goals of the initiative.
