Beni Suef University Council honors the winning team of funding a research project worth 1.9 million pounds aimed at reducing the impact of climate change on the environment

The Council of Beni Suef University, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, honored in its session No. 215, held today, the scientific team at the Faculty of Earth Science, who won a research project funded by the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) of the Ministry of Higher Education, with a value of 1.9 million pounds aimed at reducing the impact of climate changes on the environment.
The honored team includes Dr. Ibrahim Abdel-Gayed, Dean of the College and Team Advisor, Dr. Essam Abdel-Rahman, “Assistant Researcher” and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Fathi Mohamed abo Al-Saud, “Main Researcher,” and Demonstrator / Aya Muhammad Abdullah, “Member,” and Teaching Assistant / Menah Allah Gamal Abdul Al-Ghaffar as a member.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the project is in line with the Egyptian state's plan in the field of sustainable development and adaptation to climate change for green financing, and in conjunction with Egypt's hosting of the climate Summit, pointing out that the project is entitled "Towards an integrated system for the treatment of agricultural wastewater through the recycling of old reverse osmosis membranes and their use in advanced treatment of agricultural wastewater. It aims to reduce the impact of climate changes on the environment through the complete disposal of all organic materials, pesticides and fertilizer residues and desalination to comply with the regulating laws for reusing water in its various degrees in order to achieve the sustainability of non-traditional water sources on the one hand, and the safe disposal of waste from desalination plants, on the other hand.
