Receiving 74,000 emergency cases in Beni Suef University hospitals this year

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the emergency department of university hospital has received more than 74,000 cases during the current year, and this reflects the university's keenness to raise the level of health care in Beni Suef Governorate in particular and the Upper Egypt sector in general, and in line with the leadership's directions policy in providing a distinguished medical service to the Egyptian citizen.
Prof.Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the new expansions in university hospitals, which included the opening of the Internal Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Reception Unit, the preparation of the new emergency operations unit, the addition of modern CT scan devices, and the preparation of a special laboratory for emergency, have increased the department's ability to accommodate the largest possible number of citizens, as well as the speed of dealing with critical cases and performing delicate surgical operations.
Dr. Wael Saqr, Dean of the College of Medicine, indicated that the hospital administration provides all the necessary medical and surgical supplies to treat cases that come to the emergency department, perform surgeries as quickly as possible for critical cases, and transfer other cases to different departments of the hospital and intensive care.
Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Executive Director of University Hospitals, noted that during the current year, hospitals witnessed a number of important medical projects at a cost of 210 million pounds, led by the Oncology and Burns Hospital, a station for generating and producing medical oxygen, an independent building for outpatient clinics, and a medical supply building.
