Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today participation of Hossam Saad, a student in the fifth grade at the Faculty of Navigation and Space Technology, after receiving an invitation to participate in an analog space station mission in Poland, after accepting his research proposal, which is the idea of ??an analog space station project for the Egyptian Space Agency’s business incubator.
Prof. Dr. Mansour stressed university’s keenness to provide various training programs for college students and encourage them to develop their ideas and improve their research skills, through the establishment of various laboratories for them and the development of curriculum in a way that suits different fields of work, and we are keen to support researchers and students and urge them to participate scientifically and effectively in all competitions locally and internationally, and providing all the capabilities and means that help them to compete inside and outside the university.
Prof. Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the Faculty, praised the support of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, president of university, to all his students and his keenness to complete all travel procedures for the student to participate in the mission.
The student / Hossam Mossad thanked Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, Dean of the College of Navigation and Space Technology, and the College’s administration for their keenness to complete all travel procedures and achieve his dream to implement his idea, which is an engineering project that develops spacesuit systems to make them more suitable for the conditions of space environment, which helps astronauts prepare and respond to every emergency that could happen to them in space, but experimentally on the ground, which makes them ready in space and have a quick reaction to the emergency.
The student explained that he was accepted into the mission to be a representative of Egypt and Beni Suef University alongside the mission team from Canada, Mexico and Cyprus, where he participated in three research projects during the mission, stressing that his experience in the analog space station lies in isolation for 16 days in a small space away from sunlight, as analog astronauts, we do tests and research on everything that is used in space.
