President of Beni Suef University: Participation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Institute in the first festival in Fayoum

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today the participation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute in the first festival of medicinal and aromatic plants, which will be held in Fayoum Governorate during the period from 27-28 October under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and GIZ, emphasizing the importance of the university’s participation through its various faculties and institutes in Regional and international forums that serve the Egyptian society in all its sectors.
Prof. Dr. Mansour stressed that the institute is the first of its kind in Egyptian and Middle Eastern universities, in its field, as it targets graduates of the faculties of agriculture, pharmacy and science, and other corresponding faculties to complete graduate studies, and grants master's and doctorate degrees, noting that the institute includes a number of departments, including production and post-harvest treatments of medicinal and aromatic plants, Medicinal, aromatic and medicinal preparations, chemistry of medicinal and aromatic plants, and biotechnology of medicinal and aromatic plants.
Dr. Mumtaz Hegab, Dean of the Institute, explained that we will participate in the exhibition through Beni Suef University pavilion, as the Institute is unique in its kind through its various departments, where the most important educational and research programs for postgraduate studies will be presented, which can be offered to graduates of colleges associated with study programs within the Institute. In addition to presenting the most important services related to the community service and environmental development sector, and a package of training programs to be held during the coming period, which can effectively contribute to the medicinal and aromatic plants sector.
