Researcher at Beni Suef University wins award for the best scientific poster at International Conference on Wheat Research in China

Today, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that Dr. Sherif Ragab Mohamed Al-Areed, assistant professor at Crops Department, Faculty of Agriculture, and Director of the Office of Projects Support and Financing, won the award for the best scientific poster at the Second International Conference on Wheat Research held in the capital, Beijing, Republic of China, from 12 to 15 Last September, with the participation of many universities, scientific institutions and international research centers.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the university's obtaining many international awards reflects the university's special attention to scientific research by providing a distinguished educational and research environment to achieve the desired progress at all levels locally, regionally and internationally, and support the university's competitive capabilities among its peers. Pointing out that the research presented at the conference is linked to the sustainable development goals, Egypt's Vision 2030, in the areas of climate change, water and food.
For his part, Dr. Sherif Al-Arayedh explained that the research is one of the outputs of the winning research project funded by the European Union in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, noting that the research is based on the wheat crop and the enhancement of diversity in cereal cultivation systems in the Mediterranean region.
